Write for readers

• Select the smallest clear referent span that needs explanation.
• Lead with the meaning; add context second.
• Prefer plain language over jargon; define local slang.
• Link sources with normal https URLs (YouTube, interviews, news).

Quality bar

• No raw HTML embeds or scripts — paste URLs only.
• No plagiarism from other lyric sites; write in your own words.
• Suggest improvements on accepted annotations instead of duplicating them.

Staff accept annotations that are accurate, useful, and civil. Rejected or needs-work items can be revised and resubmitted when the queue allows.
